A Tool in the Hands of God – You and I are tools in the hands of God, and as His tools, we need to make sure we are in good working order. God wants to use us for His plan and for His glory, but we need to put ourselves in His loving hands.
Pain & Chains – Pain is going to invade our lives. The question is, “How should we respond when it happens?” The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, gives us insight on how we should respond to pain.
Drawing Near to God – We should all take time to draw near to God, but what does that even look like? Jesus died to give us access to His Father. Now that we have that access, it’s up to us to use it effectively.
Reporting for Duty – We have been purchased by the blood of Jesus. As His purchased, selected servants, its time for us to report for duty. God is not looking for volunteers!
Jehovah Jireh, The Lord My Provider – God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides for us. He has told us that if we seek His kingdom above all else, He will take care of our needs. The question is, are you willing to seek Him above all else?
Foul Lodgings – Sometimes our relationships can become stale and stinky, especially our marriages and our relationship with God. But God wants to breathe fresh air back into your relationships…and He wants to do it through you!
Godly Homes Don’t Guarantee Good Kids – Raising kids can be difficult. We often assume that if we do everything right, God will guarantee our kid’s salvation and good behavior, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Be encouraged, God is the God of restoration!
We’re Gone…But Not Yet! – Jesus has promised to come back for His church, but how are we supposed to live in the meantime?
Ask: In Jesus Name – When we pray, we should not be afraid to ASK God for the things we need. Jesus said that whatever we ASK in His name, we will receive, but the key is understanding the importance of praying according to God’s will.
My Tracks, Your Tracks…Our Tracks – We are saved by grace through faith! It is a gift from God. God has created us in Christ Jesus for God works, but how do we do those “good works?”
Loving Your Neighbor – You have heard it said that you should love your neighbor…but what does that really look like, and who do I consider to be my “neighbor?”
I’d like to say a very special thank you to Pastor John Houston of Point Harbor Community Church, and to the other pastors who have given me opportunities to share God’s word with the people that God has entrusted to you. I count it both a privilege and a honor. Thank you for your faithful service to our Lord!
